I’ve been applying to jobs on LinkedIn for a while now, and I’ve learned exactly how to track everything. To view your applied jobs, first open the LinkedIn app or website and click on the “Jobs” icon at the top of your feed. On the left sidebar, you’ll see a section called “My Jobs” – click that. Then, select the “Applied” tab. That’s where all your submitted applications show up, sorted by date. You can also filter by “Active” or “Past” applications to see which ones are still open or closed.
A quick tip: if you’ve applied through LinkedIn’s “Easy Apply” button, those applications appear instantly. But if you were redirected to an external company site, LinkedIn might not track that – you’ll need to manually log it. To do that, click the “Save to My Jobs” option and then mark it as “Applied” inside the saved job record.
I also use the “Application Manager” feature on desktop (it’s under “My Jobs” > “Manage Applications”). There, you can see the status – like “Under Review” or “Not Selected” – if the employer updates it. Unfortunately, not all companies do that, so don’t rely solely on LinkedIn. I keep a personal spreadsheet anyway, just to stay organized.
If you’re on mobile, it’s the same flow: tap the Jobs icon > My Jobs > Applied. The interface is a little cramped, but it works.
One more thing – LinkedIn’s “Applied” section only shows jobs you applied for using your LinkedIn account. If you applied through a different email or account, you won’t see them here. So double-check your profile’s email matches the one you used.
| Platform | Steps to View Applied Jobs |
|---|---|
| Desktop | Jobs icon > My Jobs > Applied tab |
| Mobile | Jobs icon > My Jobs > Applied tab |
That’s it. No hidden menus, no tricks. Just a few clicks.

Honestly, I just use the search bar on LinkedIn. Type “applied jobs” and it brings up a shortcut to the “My Jobs” page. But my favorite way? I pin the “Jobs” tab to my browser bar and click “My Jobs” every morning. It’s faster than digging through notifications. I’m a creature of habit – check it once, note the status, and move on.

I’m not a big fan of LinkedIn’s default layout. So I set up a custom filter inside “My Jobs” – I save search alerts for each role I’ve applied to, then check the “Applied” tab weekly. The key for me is to turn on email notifications for application updates. That way, I don’t even need to log in to know if a status changed. Saves me a lot of time.

What works for me is using the “Saved” section as a temporary holding area. I apply, then immediately save the job listing and tag it with a note like “Applied 2026-03-15”. Then once a week, I go into “Saved” and cross-reference with my inbox. I’ve found that LinkedIn’s “Applied” tab sometimes misses jobs if I used the “Apply on company site” option. So I keep my own manual system.

I’m a bit of a data nerd, so I export my LinkedIn data. Go to Settings & Privacy > Data Privacy > Get a copy of your data, and request the “Job Applications” file. It comes as a CSV with all the jobs you’ve applied to, even the ones that didn’t show up in the “Applied” tab. That’s my backup. But for day-to-day, I just click “My Jobs” on the LinkedIn homepage – it’s the most straightforward route.
